Lawyer. Registered Patent and Trademark Attorney, and European Trademark and Design Attorney. He joined PONTI in 2003.

He earned his degree in Law from the University of Alicante. In addition, he holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property (Magister Lvcentinvs) and a Master’s degree in Civil Procedural Law from the Barcelona Bar Association.

His practice includes advice on trademarks, patents, designs, trade secrets, copyright and unfair competition, as well as their protection and defence before national courts, including the EU Trademark and Design Courts, and the EU Court of Justice. His practice also encompasses licensing, assignment of IP rights, contentious-administrative proceedings, infringement and validity issues, application for border measures or disputes of domain names filed in bad faith.

He handles the Intellectual Property portfolio of numerous Spanish and multinational companies.

He is a member of COAPI (Spanish Institute of Patent and Trademark Attorneys), the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) and AIPPI where he is actively involved in AIPPI Study Questions. He is also an authorized Consultant by ACCIÓ (Agency for Business Competitiveness). At an international level, he is member of INTA. Ricardo is ranked in World Trademark Review 1000 2021.

His working languages are Spanish, Catalan and English.
